Vive la France: Brisbane French Festival 2011

Oh those Frenchies are a good lot aren't they?

Today we visited the Brisbane French Festival in Southbank. It was a grey miserable day but that lent itself nicely to rugging up in lovely scarfs and gorging ourselves on goats cheese crepes.

It was good to see lots of berets and breton stripes and people clutching baguettes. And then this guy really got into the spirit of things..

Don't you hate grass stains?

  1. Sounds like a fun outing, despite the cold. How beautiful do those macarons look!

  2. Sounds like a great outing- we were braving the mass of people at Ikea- I think you made the better choice. Those macarons look so pretty- I have never tried one, must add to the list. melx

  3. Oh those snow white pants! I didn't know there was a festival at southbank today... we went to the Samford show where it was also wet and cold, and dagwood dogs can't really compete with macarons and crepes!

I'm the guy in the photo; do you mind if I take a copy for personal use?

    Cheers,

  6. Hi Jonathan - of course! You all looked so fantastic. My husband wanted me to jump in and get a photo, but there was such a line I just snapped a sneaky one. I hope you don't mind :)
